Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are engaged

After five years together, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are apparently engaged, according to insiders who spoke to Life & Style on Thursday.

Swift, 32, and the "Conversations with Friends" actor, 30, sparked engagement rumours last month when they journeyed to Cornwall, Alwyn's native England, for a romantic three-day excursion.

Despite the fact that Swift has written a number of songs allegedly about Alwyn, the two have been fairly silent about their relationship since it began in the second part of 2016.

"People may do anything they want that makes them happy," Alwyn stated last week when promoting his new series, in which his character is in an open relationship.

Swift remarked in her winning speech, "Joe, who is the first person I play every single song that I make, and I had the nicest time making songs with you in quarantine."

The news that the lovers would replace their "Paper Rings" with real ones came just hours after Jake Gyllenhaal broke his nearly decade-long silence about Taylor's beloved breakup song,"All Too Well".

Swift has never confirmed that Gyllenhaal inspired the song, but she has never disputed fans' long-held suspicions.

The two had a brief romance in 2010, and while Swift has never acknowledged that Gyllenhaal inspired the song, she has never refuted fans' long-held beliefs.
